Thumbs Up!

The only thing funnier would have been if he gave us the "thumbs down" sign.

This is the boy's hand.  Giving us the "thumbs up" sign at our 20 week ultrasound yesterday.  The girl was all dancing around and we saw her little feets moving around, making it hard for the tech to get a good picture of her.

There aren't many words to describe that feeling of awe and joy when you first see the fully formed little mini humans moving around inside your belly.

So, I will just share a couple more photos with you.

The boy.  In profile.

And, the girl.  THE GIRL.
All is well in there.  They are both in great shape and all measurements and checks indicate that they are developing as they should be.  Gratitude abounds.

  1. Awwww, congrats! They are beautiful. :) Loved my ultrasound photos, too! I carried them around until I got ones of her outside my belly.

I hope you know how many people you touch on a daily basis, and I'm glad I finally posted how you make me feel (happy)(and I laugh a lot) Keep wearing those heels until DH has to cut them off you!

  12. Thumbs up!! Thumbs WAY up! At 25 weeks I went in to pre-term labor with my girl. I freaked out to say the least. During the ultrasound, she flashed us the peace sign. Yeah, she was chillin' saying- it's cool mom, I'm gonna cook in here awhile longer.
Looks like Hall and Oates are having a good time!

  25. You have a spastic girl and a totally cool, laid-back little guy going on in there. Tell them I say hello and to maybe not stomp on your bladder. And tell them all about how delicious cake is, because they'll need this information for when they bust out. Let me know if you need any more advice.

  31. Hot damn! That's great news! Built-in playdates, and a "salt & pepper set" (as I call m/f twins). Congratulations, Katy. Outstanding and best wishes with the later term expansion and balance... all that relaxin and oxytocin that those babies promote will bring new meaning to "gravity" and flexibility... no more spaz dancing in the elevator without hanging on to those railings and handles! :)

  33. Mine wouldn't sit still so that the tech could get a profile, but we got plenty of head-on shots of it. It is super crazy to see it move! Mine was flexing and stretching its fingers. Craziness.
